In order to implement the "Opinions of the CPC Central Committee and State Council on Supporting Fujian to Explore the New Road of Cross-Strait Integration and Development and Build
a Cross-Strait Integration and Development Demonstration Zone", recently, the National Health Commission and the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine have jointly issued
the "Circular on Fifteen Health Measures in Support of Fujian's Construction of a Cross-Strait Integration and Development Demonstration Zone", which puts forward 15 measures in four
aspects, including the main ones:
First, increasing the attraction of Taiwanese health talents. Encourage and support qualified Taiwan-funded hospitals to apply for residency training bases, open up the selection of young
and middle-aged experts with outstanding contributions to national health to Taiwan physicians in Fujian, Taiwan compatriots in Fujian to participate in the national qualification
examination for medical practitioners, can independently choose qualified hospitals for work practice, and to promote the Fujian and Taiwan sides of the traditional Chinese medicine
"bidirectional" teacher education. Secondly, improve the health care system for Taiwan compatriots in Fujian. We will support Taiwanese compatriots residing in Fujian to enjoy basic
public health services, and promote online appointment booking services for Taiwanese compatriot card holders. Third, promoting breakthroughs in key areas of Fujian Province. Support
the construction of Internet hospitals in Fujian Taiwan-funded hospitals, support Taiwan's nursing, pharmacy and other health professionals and technicians to come to Fujian for
employment, support the construction of Fujian-Taiwan Chinese herbal medicine distribution bases in Fujian, and prepare for the establishment of cross-strait think tanks of experts in the
field of traditional Chinese medicine. Fourth, promoting the high-quality development of health care in Fujian Province. It will guide the relevant municipalities in Fujian Province to
participate in the National Public Hospital Reform and High-Quality Development Demonstration Project and the National Major Infectious Disease Prevention and Control Base Project,
implement the cooperation agreement between the Commission and the province, support and guide the whole province to popularize the experience of the Sanming healthcare reform,
and continuously promote the deepening of the healthcare reform to achieve new results.
A number of measures will help further strengthen Fujian-Taiwan healthcare exchanges and cooperation, and deepen the integration and development of cross-strait healthcare.
